I am not on any other social media sites. I cannot add you on Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, 4Square, Instagram or any of those, because I do not and have never had one. Sorry! I've done all I can to unsubscribe from emails from those sites, so I've probably not seen your invite/request. I appreciate everyone who wants to digitally hang out, but I just don't have the time or the interest in these other sites, and I really just don't need any more things to check on a regular basis. So, thanks for understanding.

May I also say that my thoughts and affections go out to everyone in Boston. My dad used to run the Marathon, so the fear hits a little too close to home. Be safe and stay positive, it's far too easy to get caught up in the media fear and the terror of it all. Be safe, be smart, but please don't panic. Blood banks in the Boston area are going to need donations later in the week to replenish all that was needed today. Please consider donating if you are able.

With all the political correctness and social bloggers these days, I'm always afraid to say what I feel for fear of offending someone. So with that in mind, I hope that you all are having a wonderful religious or non-religious holiday with family, friends and loved ones... or that you're having a good evening if you're not celebrating!

I'm at home with the family for my Christmas celebration, headed back to work very soon but it's been a nice break. I miss my friends and my cat, but seeing my family and my step-cats is always a blast. We celebrated the eve with an enchilada and tamale feast, and I got to introduce my parents to the wonder that is tequila and soda. Can't wait for the big day tomorrow, I love giving gifts, and seeing how my loved ones react to presents I have plotted, planned and squirreled away throughout the year always makes me smile.

Hope things are good with you all and you have plenty of love to go around.

Halloween at HQ is always fun, lots of folks dress up and there is candy and general good vibes. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and I'll take just about any excuse to go in costume. As many of you probably know, I love Halloween. My desk at work is adorned with several warty punkins and gourds, I have spooky decorations all around my apartment, and I have a Pika pumpkin! The pattern came from Think Geek, it was surprisingly easy to carve.



I have an awesome, highly obnoxious costume this year, pictures will be posted, don't worry. I'm also looking at making a candy corn cheesecake, toasted pumpkin seeds, spooky black bean hummus dip and lemon drop martinis to celebrate the season. My Pokemon Black 2 game is in the spirit too, with a Pumpkin Pikachu Cgear. ...in case you haven't noticed a theme by now... I really love Halloween.

I've been lucky enough to be able to test the More Like This feature for a couple months, and it's really amazing. Super stable engine and it produces amazing results... especially for fan art that I like. I'm really excited that it's finally live! Right now just to subscribers, but it will be moving to other deviants after DT has ensured everything is working smoothly. Check out the main article here!

I love this game, and the return of two familiar faces made me super happy, not gonna lie. Who else is playing and which version do you have? I've been blastin' away on Dream Radar, too. Thundurus is mine!

So, I suck! I missed my dA birthdAy again. It always happens. As of the 21st, I'm 10 dA years old! I'm a big kid now!

I've been very busy with a few projects, and hope to see two of them appear for you all very soon! A third may take a while longer, but it's still so exciting! Speaking of exciting, I'm about to hit 500,000 page views! I've never put a ton of stock in page views, but half a million? That's something. If anyone happens to catch it, well, there just might be a little something special headed their way.

Also, guys? $Ikue is magic. He's helping me in one of my projects, and this man? Is magic. You should give him some love, he totally deserves it. Can't wait to show off what he's making! As for me, life goes on, and goes quite well. My kitty had an upset stomach for a while, but the vet's finally pinned down what's up, and he's finally feeling better, that makes me a very happy pet owner. He turned 6 years old this month, too. My man has hit middle age!

And last but not least, Pokemonners! Starting the 27th, run to Game Stop with your copy of Pokemon and you can download a free Keledo! I love this Pokemon... and he'll get a special form in Black/White 2, too! Speaking of DS's.... $chris showed up to the office with a 3DS XL last week! OMFG! So, for those of you who don't know, I hate 3D, the 3D feature on the 3DS is one of the worst things to ever happen in my opinion, but at least it can be (mostly, the screen is still more pixelated than I would like) turned off. But... I've been spoiled with my DS XL. After that huge, beautiful screen, I couldn't look at a 3DS without thinking it looked tiny and cheap. I refused to "upgrade" to a 3DS because of the tiny screen, because it would have felt like a downgrade in order to get a 3D feature I don't even want. I didn't know the 3DS XL was coming out, but now I can upgrade and not lose the bigger screen! I know what damphy will be asking for for Christmas! ....If I can wait that long.

Sill fighting the con plague, coughing gets old really fast. Still, I should be more than half way over it. $dxd sent me a little something to make me feel better, though! An 8" bust of Capt Jack Harkness! He's so amazing, detail shots of him are here. He currently guards my desk and seems to think that $kozispoon is a huge threat, because his gun is always pointed at her. ... and she likes it!

Holy wow, has it already been this long since Comic-Con? I had an amazing time, as you can probably imagine, but came home with a gnarly cough and cold (Con plauge, uuuuuugh!) that pretty much ate my last two weeks. I'm feeling much better now, but time just flies when you're spending almost every spare moment sleeping.

The con itself was amazing, I got to meet `sambees, who I have known forever Online but finally got to meet in person! I was running around so much I didn't get to spend much time with her at all, which I feel terrible about. Sorry, Budgie   I got to meet our other scholarship artists too, everyone is so darn talented and so darn nice. You guys are amazing.

During my free time at the con, I was dressed as femme!biker!Logan, and it was so fun to watch people recognize what I was dressed as. It was a very non-cosutmey costume, it was the cigar that sold it, for sure. `megturney and I even fought!

It was a great time, made even better by the fact that the costume was easy to get in and out of so it did not interfere with work time. It also happened to fuel one of my most memorable moments of the con. I ran to Mark Brooks (`diablo2003)'s booth to have him sign a comic and to head to a dA panel he was speaking on. We took a little detour and walked the con floor to look at action figures, then headed outside for a smoke before the panel. While we were hanging outside, a girl dressed as (a very awesome!) X-23 spotted my costume and ran up to ask for a photo. We posed, pic was snapped, she said thanks and went on her way. ...Never quite realizing that the person standing next to Wolverine was the guy who draws her character. You gotta keep your eyes out at Comic-Con, you never quite know who you will run into!

I got hugs from *AlexBuechel, delicious, beautiful cupcakes from *Franchesco, got to hang out with *duss005 and was drawn by so many artists! I will update with photos/scans soon, I promise. You can find more info on the amazing time we had at #Comic-Con, where they kept a day-by-day blog, something i failed to do.

For now I'm just glad to be home with my kitty and hard at work for the site. Lots of planning going on now and cool things to come!

In just a few hours I'm packing up and heading down to San Diego Comic-Con, I so can't wait! I'm going to be working Artist's Alley, it's going to be insanely busy and AWESOME, so if you're in the area, swing by and say hello! I don't bite... unless you ask. I'm the short, spunky one with purple hair, normally hard to miss, but this is Comic-Con, so there's an abnormally high number of people with purple hair. During my free time at the con, I'm going to be running around with a leather jacket and Wolverine claws, if anyone wants a picture with a Femme!Logan, I'm your girl!

Artist's Alley should be amazing this year, and I'm assured it looks even better than last year. We have, once again, provided carpeting, comfortable chairs and big screens to show off the artwork of artists in the Alley. We'll also have SWAG! Come by and get your dA goodies, we'll have lots of fun stuff for you!

Aaaand... just to add to the insanity at HQ, we just launched the Premium Content Platform! Ever wanted to sell your brushes, high-res files, stock photos or literature? Now you can do so through dA! And... you, the artist, get 80% of the sale. The ability to sell has been given to a percentage of artists, but we're slowly expanding to allow more and more deviants to sell thorugh dA. I'm headed out of town, so I won't be around to answer questions or hear feedback, so please leave comments on the article itself so that your input can be reacted to in a timely manner.

Hey all, I'm coming to you all, asking to help find and contact artists so we can see a copyright infringing Ebay seller shut down.

Please check out the following store: [link]

Please do not contact this seller. Do not threaten or warn them. Please simply look their shop over and look for art you recognize. You should send a link to the infringing listing to the artist themselves so that they can file a take down. Again: Contacting/warning/threatening the seller is not going to help, we need to get the artists themselves to contact Ebay.

This person is a top rated Ebay seller, with a 99.7% positive feedback rating, and they are taking images off deviantART and selling them. I only know of this store because *FlyKiwiFly was kind enough to let me know that this is being sold here. While I'm really excited/flattered that someone out there likes my crappy fanart enough to buy it, and for $40 no less (), they have no right to sell this item.

I have already contacted Ebay with a take down, but there are tons of things for sale in this shop, and much of it comes from dA. I recognize a lot of it, but I can't spot them all, so please look here and provide links to the artist of the images, not to me. I can only file take downs for my own images, the artists will need to contact Ebay themselves.

You can do a lot by simply looking at the shop and telling the artists whose images are being used. If you talk to the seller about this at all, then you are giving them a heads-up time, which they could use to remove the violations, keep their shop open, and list the infringing items again later. Please don't do this, as it only makes more work for artists.

OMG guys, thank you so much for the flood of kind comments and well wishes on my page. I've got so many to go through, my inbox is literally exploding!

I had an amazing birthday, I really did. I partied with drag queens, got pictures of my bones, drank too much, both coffee and alcohol, and got my hands on Pokemon Conquest, which was actually a huge freaking challenge. Once again: I hate Gamestop and will be ordering Pokemon Black/White 2 off of Amazon because Gamestop is the most unreliable place ever. Uuuugh.

Anywho, ranting aside, Conquest is really awesome. I adore tactics games, and Pokemon does not disappoint. It's not quite as complex as the games I usually like, but it's very fun.. if you like that kind of game. I really love how you can rush through the plot or take your time and find the strongest link/perfect partner to make your warriors that much more badass. Well done, Pokemon. You've now made both a tactics game and a dungeon crawler game I love. You have warmed the heart of this old-school gamer, I couldn't hate you even if I tried.

So first off, I get old in less than a week! I'm actually rather excited about 30, mostly because I don't feel 30 at all, nor do I look it. No, seriously, the grocery store wouldn't let me buy a bottle of wine on Saturday because I'd forgotten my ID and the cashier insisted I couldn't be a day over 19. I've been told that some magical switch is flipped at 30 where you just stop giving a fuck, and you know? I'm cool with that. ....that and Pokemon Conquest comes out on my birthday and I'm going to spend all day in my pajamas geeking out over the game. Hey, I can't stop growing older, but no one can make me grow up!

I was discussing birthday plans with `ChristophValentine when I dropped the 30 bomb. After hemming and hawing and asking "Noooooo?" a few times, he burst out with "Wow, you're old!" And then silence fell, and he realized just what he said. There was another pause before he tried to save his own skin by adding ".....er.... than you look..!" But it was too late.

Me? I guess the don't-give-a-fuck switch was already thrown, because I was just amused. But I turned around to find $kozispoon gaping, $aunjuli gasping and $LaurenKitsune with a look that clearly said she was about to cut a bitch on my behalf. The conversation only went downhill from there and the claws came out. Suffice it to say, I work with some really amazing people who keep me constantly entertained.

So the question becomes... my Captain Jack Harkness costume, but with purple hair instead of his classic brown (I'll come up with a story about a purple worm slipping through the Rift and Jack doesn't wanna talk about it), OR, should I do a Femme!Wolverine? I have the perfect brown leather Wolvie biker jacket, I'm built short and stocky like he is. So, ribbed white tank top, dog tags, ripped jeans, claws and a cigar. ...yeah, hair will still be purple. So, what do you guys think?

This has just been an awesome week. I hit up Drink and Draw last night, along with $pachunka, `pinguino, ~reihanzo and more. We had a blast, drank and doodled and as I was getting ready to leave, the ever-awesome =urban-barbarian calls me over, and what does he hand me?
